Wife, mom, Nonni, writer, cook, homemaker, teacher, mentor, friend…these are a few of the words I use to define me—not just my roles in life but those things I love to do and be.

There are other equally as important words that describe me—redeemed, forgiven, rescued, and restored. Without these truths, the first set of descriptions would no doubt be very different. From a very young age I knew Jesus was calling me to follow Him and although I didn’t understand what that meant exactly, I nonetheless accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at the tender age of ten.

No one could have prepared me for what lay in store over the course of the next 15 years—the tragedy, the abuse, the pain. But looking back I can see God’s hand in my life. He protected me and He never gave up on me when I had all but given up on myself.

Journey with me and others as we share our stories, reflections and most importantly the hope and healing we have found and continue to find in Jesus.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
